Why Choose Malta

The Wait Malta Doesn’t Have

No waiting lists, no delays. In Malta, you can begin treatment as soon as you're ready, with a healthy supply of donors always available — so there's nothing standing between you and starting your journey.

Your Donor, Your Way

We offer two donor options that many clinics abroad don't: open-ID donors, whose contact details can be released to your child when they reach adulthood, and known donors — a person you choose yourself, provided they aren't a family member. This flexibility clearly sets us apart from the single anonymous-donor model used by clinics in Spain and the Czech Republic.

Officially English. Genuinely Familiar.

Unlike most fertility destinations abroad, English isn't just spoken in Malta — it's one of the country's two official languages, alongside Maltese. Add Malta's history as a former British colony, and the legal system, healthcare culture, and everyday life will feel far more familiar than a typical trip abroad.

Higher Success Rates, Not Just Claimed — Verified

We're proud of our clinical outcomes — but more importantly, you don't have to take our word for it. Our results are independently monitored and reported by the Embryo Protection Authority (EPA) registry, not self-reported. It's this same commitment to excellence, and to being held accountable for it, that drives the outcomes we deliver.

The Same Journey, Better Value

Competitive pricing without compromising on care — plus the chance to turn treatment into a proper trip: flights, comfortable accommodation, and the best of Malta's Mediterranean charm, all part of the experience.

Questions & Answers

Is it complicated to travel to Malta for treatment? Read More Read Less

Not at all — Malta is a short flight from most UK cities. We help organize flights, accommodation, and transfers as part of your journey.

Is fertility treatment in Malta properly regulated? Read More Read Less

Yes. Hope operates under the oversight of the Embryo Protection Authority (EPA), Malta's regulatory body for assisted reproduction — and our results are independently audited and reported by the EPA registry, not self-reported.

Why is donor-assisted treatment often faster in Malta than in the UK? Read More Read Less

A shortage of registered donors in the UK means many patients face long waits before treatment can begin. Malta doesn't face the same bottleneck, so we're often able to start your treatment far sooner.

How does your donor model compare to what's available in the UK? Read More Read Less

Our Open-ID donor model works much like the UK's own system — but without the wait. If you'd prefer, you can also bring your own known donor for sperm or eggs.

What is a "known donor," and how does it work? Read More Read Less

A known donor is someone you choose yourself to donate sperm or eggs — for example, a friend or someone you already know — rather than being matched with a donor selected by the clinic. The only requirement is that they can't be a family member. This option, sometimes called "known" or "directed" donation, is formally recognised and authorised under Malta's assisted reproduction framework by the Embryo Protection Authority (EPA). During your free Information Session, we'll walk you through exactly how this works, including the medical and legal steps involved for your chosen donor.

Will there be a language barrier during my treatment? Read More Read Less

No — English is one of Malta's official languages, alongside Maltese, so there's no language barrier at any point in your journey.
